Jul 18, 2023

Numerous archery products spotted in person during the 2023 ATA Show were interesting, but some were clear winners. In the author's opinion, here are the best of the best.

Rage + Schrade Enrage Knife

Each year, members of the archery industry travel to the annual Archery Trade Association (ATA) Show to see the latest and greatest in the archery and bowhunting industries. Oftentimes, companies in attendance have new products to release, or reimagined and revamped older products. This year in Indianapolis, Indiana, was no disappointment. The ATA Show floor was loaded with new offerings for 2023, as well as some old winners that keep driving sales, too. In no particular order, here are 35 products that caught my eye during the big bow show.

Rage is known for its broadheads, but now it's in the knife business. It partnered with Schrade to produce a great replaceable-blade Enrage knife (top photo). It includes premium handle options, including carbon fiber and forged carbon fiber. Several options include the Isolate, Phantom, and Stryche series. Various knife lengths range from 6-8 total inches, and blade lengths range from 2-3 inches. These come with six blades.

The Universal footrest by Moultrie is an excellent addition to the Summit family of products. This is designed to work with all Summit climbing treestands, and the Dual Axis Hang-On stand. Furthermore, thanks to its universal fit, it is compatible with other stands that have 1-inch-by-1-inch square tubing on the platform. It comes with a rubberized grip that minimizes noise and provides extra boot stability. It offers three positions (two resting and one folded) for transport.

The LRP by TAC Vanes is engineered to produce incredible accuracy, strength, and minimal noise. It has Blade Align Technology, which helps align the blades and fletching. It also includes a terminal collar for maximum strength, which provides twice the strength of standard 8-32 screw-in inserts. It even comes spine-aligned for better accuracy and forgiveness.

The EDGE Pro by Moultrie Mobile is a big offering for 2023. This camera takes the great things from the EDGE and builds on them for an even better cellular camera. It introduces the False Trigger Elimination (FTE) technology, which reduces environmental and non-target species from triggering the camera. Basically, it sends only the photos a hunter wants. Also, it takes 36-mp photos and 1080p video (with sound). It offers a 0.5-second trigger speed, 100-ft detection range, 100-ft IR flash range, and up to 12 months of battery life. This model also has built-in memory, so no SD card is required. You can even set custom triggering zones, or even take photos of just the species you’re after. It automatically connects to the strongest nationwide cell network.

While these individual products aren't new, Tink's is offering this combo, which is new for 2023. In it you get the Trophy Buck, No. 1 Doe-P, and No. 69 Doe-in-Rut 1-oz bottles. The Trophy buck is great from early season through the rut. The No. 1 Doe-P is great all season long. And the No. 69 Doe-in-Rut is good from pre-rut to post-rut. Each of these are packaged for increased longevity. This combo pack is also available as a synthetic offering.

It even incorporates anti-deflecting abilities and is optimized for quartering shot opportunities. It comes with three broadheads, a re-usable case, six replacement bands, and 12 hunt-ready plugs.
